Caerphilly Armed Forces Forum

Caerphilly Armed Forces Forum (CAFF) has representation from many organisations which consider a variety of measures to support our local armed forces community (including Forces Veterans, Serving Personnel and Reservists, and their families)  within our local communities across the county borough.

Voluntary Sector members of CAFF include:

  • Royal British Legion
  • SSAFA
  • Change Step
  • AlabarĂ©
  • CAB
  • First Choice Housing Association
  • Gwent Association of Voluntary Organisations (GAVO)
  • St. Loye’s Foundation
  • Hire a Hero
  • RAFA
  • Defence Medical Welfare Service (DMWS)
  • Army Families Federation.

Other members of the CAFF include:

  • 203 (Welsh) Field Hospital
  • 104 Rgt. Royal Artillery
  • 614 Sqn.
  • R. Aux. A F
  • Veterans UK (which was formerly the SPVA)
  • RFCA
  • Veterans NHS Wales
  • Probation Service
  • Community Rehabilitation Company
  • DWP
  • Caerphilly Business Forum
  • Federation of Small Businesses
  • Gwent Police
  • Aneurin Bevan University Health Board (ABUHB)
  • and Caerphilly County Borough Council, who all work together to support and advise our Armed Forces community.

With such local expertise available on the CAFF, any group or organisation in Caerphilly county borough wishing to submit a funding bid to the Covenant Fund, might well find it advantageous to discuss their bid with the local Caerphilly Armed Forces Forum.  This may well strengthen the bid, as it goes forward to the Regional Devolved Administration Board.
