Blackwood Miners’ Institute are celebrating a record pantomime season, with almost 15,630 visitors to the venue who experienced the thrilling entertainment on offer from Jack and the Beanstalk.

Rainbow Valley Productions returned with family favourite Owen Money to present a colourful adaptation of a much loved classic fairy tale – Jack and the Beanstalk! The show delivered a thrilling tale of adventure, magic beans, a mysterious land way up in the clouds and a terrifying giant which audience members thoroughly enjoyed from start to finish.

The show received fantastic reviews, one said: “My daughter came yesterday with her school and had a fantastic time. She said it was the funniest thing she’d ever seen”.

While another happy visitor said: “Absolutely brilliant show, can’t wait for Peter Pan next year!!”.

Cllr Sean Morgan, Cabinet Member with responsibility for visitor attractions said: “Well done to Blackwood Miners’ Institute for hosting yet another successful panto season. Owen Money and the fantastic team at Rainbow Valley Productions continue to provide fantastic entertainment for the whole family to enjoy and I am sure next year’s event will be one to look out for!”
