Nominations for this year’s Caerphilly GAVO Volunteer Achievement Awards are now open.

The awards, organised in partnership with Caerphilly Council, provide a unique opportunity to recognise local heroes who dedicate their time to helping others and the community.

The 2018 Volunteer Achievement Awards will culminate in a celebratory event at Blackwood Miners Institute in September. Winners & Highly Commended Volunteers will be invited to the awards, after being chosen by an independent Judging Panel.

Nominations are now open for the following categories:

  • Young Volunteer - Sponsored by Gwent Police
  • Adult Volunteer - Sponsored by Carling In The Community
  • Environmental Volunteer - Sponsored by Groundwork Wales
  • Trustee Volunteer - Sponsored by Campaign Newspapers
  • Group Volunteers - Aneurin Bevan Health Board
  • Corporate Social Responsibility - Sponsored by Associated British Ports
  • Personal Journey - Sponsored by GAVO
  • Parent Volunteer of the Year - Sponsored by The Parent Network
  • Mayor’s Civic Award - Sponsored by CCBC

To be considered for an award, an individual or group of volunteers must carry out their volunteering activity within the Caerphilly county borough area.
