Learning Welsh

Welsh is Popular in Caerphilly and lots of people speak Welsh. It gives people a feeling of belonging and parents want their children to speak it too.

Parents and carers choose to send their children to Welsh-medium schools. They get the rounded Welsh speaking experience their parent didn’t get as children.

There is a good range of books and activities in Welsh in our libraries around the borough.

You can learn Welsh with your child through Cymraeg i Blant. You can also learn Welsh with Dysgu Cymraeg Morgannwg / Gwent. You can also learn Welsh through free apps such as Duo Lingo and Say Something in Welsh.
