Penallta Reuse Shop

We manage reuse shops across the South East Wales area, we offer volunteering placements in retail, IT, assisting with PAT testing and administration. Our aims are:

• Environmental; to divert furniture and electrical items from landfill and to promote their reuse as part of the circular economy;
• Economic – to provide low-cost furniture and IT equipment to deprived families and communities;
• Social – to provide quality placements and programmes for people in the community who want to move closer to the job market or to simply ‘give something back’. 

What can volunteers do?

Volunteers will gain valuable skills in retail and working with others, they will see first-hand how the circular economy works and have fun in the process!  We offer a full induction, to include manual handling training, we provide safety boots and Hi Viz vests. 

What can you expect from us?

We provide a welcoming and nurturing environment, we have a broad range of volunteers from diverse backgrounds.  We will provide training in manual handling and provide £5.00 volunteer expenses.
