Events and activities

Enjoy the fresh produce and crafts on display at the Farmers Market on the second Saturday of the month. Farmers and producers join at the Community Centre to bring a feast of mouth-watering delights for you to try and buy.

Set in the shadows of one of Europe's largest Castles, the town of Caerphilly comes to life as 80,000 people of all ages come to The Big Cheese festival, an extravaganza of street entertainers, living history encampments, music, dance, traditional funfair, folk dancing, craft fayre, fire eating, minstrels, troubadours and much more.

At Christmas the River of Light Parade with hundreds of lanterns accompanied by thunderous samba drumming flows through the Town Centre to the castle, concluding with a grand fireworks finale. A Medieval Christmas Market is held in the town in early December.
