Caerphilly County Borough Council has received funding from the Plant! project, which is a Welsh Government initiative to plant a tree for every child born or adopted in Wales from 1 January 2008 to help create a Welsh National forest of native trees at several sites around Wales.

Here in the north of Caerphilly County Borough, near the villages of Argoed, Hollybush, Markham and Manmoel, we’ve opened up our woods at Coed Llanerch for you to enjoy! - Oakdale Business Park
The regeneration and development of the former Oakdale Colliery site is a prime example of a development that encompasses long term strategic vision with partnership working to access funding from a range of sources including the European Union. The development has, and continues to, be sensitive to the needs of both the community and environment.
The "park" can be anything from the children’s playground at the end of the street, right up to our major parks that contain everything from flowerbeds to football pitches. You can use your local park to go and have fun, enjoy a family picnic or take a stroll in the fresh air and let the world go by. Prosiect Gwyrdd is a partnership between, Caerphilly County Borough Council, Cardiff Council, Monmouthshire County Council, Newport City Council and Vale of Glamorgan Council. The combined municipal waste of the five authorities makes up 40% of the total municipal waste of Wales. Prosiect Gwyrdd is committed to looking for the best environmental, cost effective and practical solution for waste after recycling and composting has been maximised in each area

The Safer Caerphilly Community Safety Partnership is a joint, statutory partnership between Caerphilly County Borough Council, Gwent Police, Gwent Police Authority, Caerphilly teaching Local Health Board and South Wales Local Fire and Rescue Authority.
