Caerphilly county borough now boasts a brand new Alcohol Home Detox Service for alcohol dependant residents within the community.
The service, which has been in operation since 1st April in the local area, has the aim of helping alcohol dependant residents to make, and maintain positive changes in their alcohol use.
The 10-week programme also comprises an assessment, information on preparation for change, education on alcohol and lapse management and medical supervision of withdrawal symptoms.
Maria Evans, Substance Misuse Lead Officer said, "This excellent service has been extremely well received so far. Our aim is to provide clients with the support and encouragement that they need throughout every stage of their recovery."
