04 April 2012
There are still a few places left on Caerphilly county borough council's Community Health Champion FREE training course running this April. Participants of the course will learn exciting new skills which will allow them to inspire others to look after their health.
The vast array of different messages communicated through the media can often leave people confused and unsure of how to access services. This is where Community Health Champions will bridge the gap.
This is your opportunity to be part of a stimulating, inspiring programme to improve the health of people in your community. Community Health Champions are people who can really make a difference to the health of their friends, family, neighbours and work colleagues by helping people understand the barrage of information, access services and tackle health issues affecting their local community.
Anyone can volunteer and all Community Health Champions will receive free training, with the opportunity to gain a qualification, helping to improve employment prospects, as well as becoming part of a network of people that are inspiring others to lead healthier lifestyles.
For further information or to request a registration form for your place on the course please contact Sian Wolfe-Williams, Health Challenge Caerphilly Co-ordinator on 01495 235 401 or at firstname.lastname@example.org
