12 gymnasts from Heolddu Gymnastics Club, Bargoed competed in their annual grades in February 2011 and came out with some outstanding results!!
Senior gymnasts Alice Cole and Kate Ingram successfully passed their National Grade 8 held at the Welsh Institute of Sport, Cardiff which was a great achievement competing alongside some of the best gymnasts in Wales.
Junior gymnasts took part in the East Wales Regional Grades 14 and 13 held at the Forest Of Dean Gymnastics Club. Grade 14 passes included: Ffion Davies, Cleo Jones and Katie Morgan, and receiving a distinction were Amelia Cooper, Richelle Shaw and Caitlin Alderman.
Grade 13 passes included Hollie Lovell, Shannon Sanders-Williams and Macey George while Abigail Inseal picked up a distinction for her efforts. To add to the success Amelia Cooper won the Gold medal overall for Grade 14 and Abigail Inseal took the gold medal overall at Grade 13. Two of the clubs coaches, Kathryn and Sharon Clarke who are Caerphilly employees were very proud of all the girls and their achievements and sets up the club for another wonderful successful gymnastic year!
