Bombastic Dance return to Caerphilly with new project

    02 March 2009

On 16th March Bombastic Dance bring their Argonauts project to Caerphilly following their successful residency this time last year.

Year 3 & 4 pupils from across the borough will get the opportunity to see a fantastic performance at Blackwood Miners' Institute on Friday 20th March and receive an imaginative dance workshop at their school led by highly experienced performer/teachers.

In the performances, modern day Argonauts, Hannah and Bert, follow clues, overcome their fears and fight scary monsters in search of their prize. Argonauts mixes dance, story telling and animation. The show is funny, highly imaginative and pitched perfectly for the target age group.

The company will be performing this Sunday 8th March at the Wales Millennium Centre and there is a trailer and photos from the show on their website this week www.wmc.org.uk.

The company's residencies in the Vale of Glamorgan, Neath Port Talbot and Pembrokeshire sold out and the feedback received from teachers and pupils has been extraordinary.

If you are a school wanting to take part in the project there are still a couple of workshop slots available. Contact Blackwood Miners' Institute on 01495 227206.
