>This year's Big Cheese Festival in Caerphilly town centre was a fantastic success as crowds flocked to the site to enjoy the fun.
As the temperature soared on Saturday, so did visitor numbers, with event organisers estimating that a record breaking 40,000 people visited the Big Cheese festival on Saturday alone.
In the weeks leading up to the Big Cheese Festival, there were also a massive 110,000 hits on Caerphilly County Borough Council's Big Cheese website.
The Big Cheese is the highlight of Caerphilly county borough council's summer events programme and offers fun for all the family. The action kicked off on Friday evening with the Cheese Race and a spectacular fireworks display over Caerphilly Castle.
Saturday and Sunday saw the fun continue with an extravaganza of street entertainers, living history encampments, music, dance, folk dancing, falconry, fire eating, minstrels, troubadours and a huge funfair boasting a range of white-knuckle rides.
Visitors came from far and wide to experience a taste of the Big Cheese and soak up the unique atmosphere of this fantastic family event.
Leader of council, Cllr Lindsay Whittle said, "The Big Cheese Festival has become one the most popular summer events in Wales and really helps put Caerphilly on the map. A lot of hard work goes into organising this major weekend festival and I would like to thank the event team and our sponsors for their continued support - It is very much appreciated."
"I'd also like to thank all the local people who turned out to make this year's Big Cheese such as fantastic success!" he added.
The focus switches to Blackwood next month when the popular Big Balloon Festival returns. The event will take place at Blackwood Show Fields on Sunday 30th and Monday 31st August and offers something for all the family, including spectacular mass balloon launches, colourful performances from a variety of street entertainers, live music and a funfair.
The highlight of the weekend is the nightglow and fireworks display, which takes place on the Sunday evening.
