>A new 'virtual office' service at a flagship business centre in the Caerphilly county borough is giving fledgling firms the opportunity to 'try before they buy'.
The new 'hot desking' facility is available at the prestigious Tredomen Business and Technology Centre in Ystrad Mynach. It allows businesses to take advantage of the admin support and IT facilities on offer at the centre without making a major financial commitment to rent office space.
Ian MacVicar, CCBC Business Development Officer, said, "We are delighted to be able to offer this exciting new service here at Tredomen. A number of local businesses are already taking advantage of the many benefits that the hot desk service has to offer and I would encourage anyone interested to get in touch to see if we can help."
The facilities can be booked on a daily or half daily basis and gives businesses – particularly people thinking of starting up – the opportunity to 'try before they buy'.
The Tredomen Business and Technology Centre was the first of its kind in Wales to be completed with fast-track European Objective 1 Funding in 2001. The European Funding was supported by Caerphilly county borough council and the Welsh Assembly Government. The Tredomen Business & Technology Centre also has conference facilities and meeting rooms for hire and office suites available for rent.
