A new exhibition has opened at the Winding House in New Tredegar, commemorating 70 years since the outbreak of the Second World War.
The exhibition, " Caerphilly County Borough and the Second World War" focuses on the Wartime experiences of men, women and children throughout the area, with many photographs and objects on loan from local people.
From evacuees to Bevin Boys, rationing to air raid warnings, digging for Victory to the Home Guard – and not least the experiences of those who served in the armed forces – the exhibition provides a snapshot of life in the 1940s and the impact of War on the lives of people throughout the County Borough.
The Winding House is open Tuesday – Sunday, 10am-5pm. Admission is free.
