Following sell out 'Stute Comedy Nights earlier in the season, they are now back by popular demand with another top three comedians from the UK comedy circuit coming together for the latest instalment of laughs and entertainment!
So why not grab some friends and come along to the funniest show in town at Blackwood Miners' Institute on Friday 9th September at 8pm?!
Headlining the show is Roger Monkhouse, who is one of the most original and distinctive acts on the comedy scene. He is a consummate stand-up, who employs a deadly combination of charm and menace to exert a masterful control over any audience.
A highly original and quirky performer, Roger's trademark stage-prowling style and curious, inimitable manner have established him as one of the hottest names on the comedy circuit.
"…Unfailingly entertaining and skilfully able to pull punch lines, seemingly, out of thin air…" Chortle
Supporting is Kevin Dewsbury, who is a stand up comedian from Cheshire, though usually people think he's from Yorkshire due to his accent. He is usually very funny, but not everyone will laugh at his jokes due to the la of averages and high expectations.
Well respected in the industry for many years by fellow comics and promoters (and sometimes the audience!), Kevin continues to get booked all over the UK!
"…Slickness and sheer talent win you over in one click of his comedy fingers…" Time Out
Host for the evening is the very funny James Cook. His act mixes jokes and sarcasm with a quick wit and excellent improvisation skills that make him an accomplished compere.
Tickets cost £7 in advance or £10 on the door. To book your tickets, please call Blackwood Miners' Institute's Box Office on 01495 227 206 or visit www.blackwoodminersinstitute.com.
