>Abba fans of all ages flocked to Bargoed on Friday night to enjoy a free open-air screening of the blockbuster flick 'Mamma Mia!'
Caerphilly county borough council and the Greater Bargoed Communities First Partnership teamed up to organise the special event for the whole community.
The weather stayed dry for the screening at Hanbury Road Car Park as the movie was shown on a giant outdoor screen to a huge crowd, with many in the audience dancing and singing along with the film.
Local ward member, Cllr Tudor Davies, said, "It was a fantastic evening of musical entertainment for the young to the old and everyone enjoyed a magical experience. I look forward to this type of event being repeated in the near future."
Five hundred people filled the designated viewing area, but hundreds more managed to find a suitable spot in the surrounding area to watch the film.
The event organisers would like to thank all the volunteers from the local partnership for their help on the day.
