The provision of an integrated resource centre for the north of Caerphilly county borough took a major step forward recently, after Caerphilly County Borough Council's Cabinet pledged £200,000 to help ensure the project remains on track.
The Integrated Health and Social Care Resource Centre, due in conjunction with the opening of Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr in 2012, will act as a co-ordinating hub in the development and provision of services in the north of the Caerphilly county borough.
The centre will be an innovative development and will bring together a range of health and social care services, all under one roof. The new model of health and social care will also enable more people to receive care provided in the community.
The centre is set to offer a wide range of services including: -
- GP Practices
- Intermediate and Palliative Care Beds
- District Nursing Service
- Older People's Assessment Team
- Children's Services Team
- Therapy Services such as Podiatry
