If you are unsure of how to celebrate St David's Day this week, why not go along to watch The Gelligaer Players' performance of one of the most famous Welsh plays of all time.
The theatre group will be performing 'Under Milk Wood' by the celebrated Welsh poet, Dylan Thomas, at Rudry Parish Hall on Saturday 3rd March.
The iconic play allows the audience to see into the lives of the characters of a fictional Welsh village over 24 hours and was adapted from a radio drama that was aired in 1954.
Based in Gelligaer since 1980, The Players have given their interpretation of the legendary play in a number of locations, including Ireland, Florida, Alabama and throughout the UK.
Dylan Thomas is undoubtedly one of the most celebrated Welsh poets in history, so what better way to show Welsh Pride than by enjoying a brilliant recital of the play that helped put Wales on the map.
Cllr Phil Bevan, Caerphilly County Borough Council's cabinet member for education, lifelong learning and leisure, said, "I would encourage everyone to show their pride at being Welsh on St David's Day, and a performance of Dylan Thomas' renowned play is something for everyone to enjoy."
The play will begin at 7.30pm.
