Famous author and storyteller, Cat Weatherill, has visited Abertridwr Library to entertain children from Ysgol Ifor Bach.
The recently refurbished library welcomed the visit from Cat and Caerphilly County Borough Council's library staff arranged a storytelling session with the local school.
The children enjoyed an afternoon of tales from Cat which she performed through rhythm and rhyme and used instruments to bewitch and capture the children's imagination.
The children who are beginning a term of creative writing were bursting with questions for Cat and many of them borrowed her books from the library at the end of the session.
Cat who was actively involved in the successful 'Read a Million Words' initiative last year was keen to return to the county borough to promote her new book Wild Magic.
