Inspired by the forthcoming London 2012 Olympic games, Pengam Primary School decided to dedicate a week to a massive range of physical activities for the whole school to enjoy in support of the Lloyds TSB National School Sports Week.

Pupils took part in an opening ceremony during which they all placed sports pledges whereby they made a promise to participate in sporting activities and become actively involved in National School Sports Week. Activities taking place included Football, Tennis, Dancing and Athletics throughout the grounds of the school.

The week ended on a high with a presentation ceremony for pupils to receive certificates, and the sports pledges were displayed on the wall to remind pupils and staff of their promises.

Thanks to the help and partnerships with, Caerphilly Sports Development, Cardiff University and many others Pengam were able to run a successful week.
