In true Olympic torch relay style, the Literacy Olympics events are moving through the Caerphilly county borough.
Caerphilly County Borough Council has set about organising a jam packed week of Olympic themed events to coincide with Adult Learners Week. On Thursday 17th May, Risca Palace will be the fourth venue to embrace these creative sessions.
Author Michael Harvey, will work closely with Adults who are enrolled on the Basic Skills programme to develop their literacy skills.
David Phenis Community Development Manager, said, "Improving the standard of literacy skills for the residents of the Caerphilly county borough is a key priority. When we are able to make this fun and relevant for people it makes for an enjoyable experience for everyone involved."
He continued. "It is our aim to ensure that continued learning services more accessible than ever for local residents."
