Diversions and road closures will be in place over the next two weekends (Sat 24th / Sun 25th March and Sat 31st March / Sun 1st April) to allow resurfacing works on the A469/A472 in Ystrad Mynach.
Preparatory Works will take place on the first weekend 24th / 25th March, leading to the closure of the northbound and southbound A469 between Cwm Du roundabout (Dance Centre) and the junction at the Hospital entrance. Diversionary signs will be in place to advice motorists of alternative routes.
On Saturday 31st March the same arrangements may need to be put in place, subject to progress of the works on 24th & 25th March.
On Sunday 1st April there will be a full closure of the Cwm Du roundabout (Dance Centre) to allow final resurfacing at the site.
Once again, extensive diversionary routes will be in place, but motorists are advised to find alternative routes if possible.
On Monday 2nd April (6pm to 10pm) and Tuesday 3rd April (6pm to 10pm) the same traffic arrangements as the first weekend will be employed on both these evening shifts to allow for completion of the surfacing on the A469 approaches to Cwm Du Roundabout.
Bus Services
Throughout the duration of the road closure route 26 (Blackwood - Cardiff) will not serve the bus stops at Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr and The Dance Centre. Passengers are advised to use the stops at The Coopers.
