>A group of young people from Caerphilly Youth Forum were honoured recently at an Awards ceremony in Cardiff.
The annual 'Media 4 Schools' film awards were held at Cineworld and the whole event was sponsored by Sony. Caerphilly Youth Forum were nominated in two categories - Best Community Film and Best Animated Film.
On the night they won the award for Best Animated Film for their film entitled 'Look at me Now'. The film looks at the issue of stereotypes and especially bullying. It was developed by a group of young people from Caerphilly Youth Forum who worked with local poet, Patrick Jones and Media 4 Communities to turn the initial storyboard idea into a fully animated short film.
The film was also premiered on the day and all present had a chance to watch it on the big screen!The film will be used in schools and youth clubs/youth projects across the county borough to encourage discussion and debate around this issue.
As well as receiving a certificate and a cheque for £100, all the young people who were nominated as finalists also received cinema passes.
