>The Safer Caerphilly Community Safety Partnership is looking to recruit volunteer "Community Crime Fighters" to help make the Caerphilly county borough an even safer place to live.
The Community Crime Fighters will act as the "eyes and ears" of the Safer Caerphilly Community Safety Partnership, and will play a vital role in combating anti social behaviour and further reducing levels of crime in the Caerphilly county borough.
An event will be held on:
Tuesday 16th June – White Rose Resource Centre, New Tredegar at 5.30pm.
Representatives from agencies including Gwent Police, Gwent Probation Service, Tenancy Enforcement and Victim Support will be present at the events, to talk about the work currently being done in the Caerphilly county borough to tackle crime and anti social behaviour, and how local residents can become involved.
Cabinet member for the environment, Cllr Lyn Ackerman said, "The Community Crime Fighter initiative is aimed at residents who are interested in taking an active role in tackling crime and anti social behaviour in their communities.
I would really encourage residents with a genuine interest in community safety issues to come along to one of the forthcoming events and find out more about becoming a volunteer Community Crime Fighter."
