>Phase 1 - Gas works are currently proceeding down Cardiff Road, Caerphilly.
Phase 2 - Works are due to commence on the 10th of October for a period of two weeks through the traffic lights at the junction of Clive Street, Bartlett Street and Cardiff Road .This will then not allow traffic from Bartlett Street to enter into Cardiff Road or Clive Street. Access for residents will then be achieved by access up Crescent Road and the altering of some one way traffic orders. An alternate bus stop has been provided at the top of White Street to assist passengers travelling on buses heading to Bedwas, Trethomas & Machen from Caerphilly town centre.
Phase 3 - Works will commence after this down Cardiff Road to Stockland Street . Cardiff Road will remain closed to through traffic for a period of about 5 weeks Clive Street will reopen to traffic
Caerphilly County Borough Council regrets the affects on traffic and advises travellers where ever possible to access the town from Nantgarw Road, Castle Street, Van Road and to use Heol Cae Barrau Road to avoid the traffic congestion.
