Do you know an outstanding volunteer who works tirelessly to help others? If so, Caerphilly county borough council and GAVO would like to hear from you as nominations are now being sought for this year's Voluntary Sector Achievement Awards.
Outstanding volunteers from across the Caerphilly county borough will be recognised for the valuable work they carry out within the community at a special awards ceremony taking place in June.
The deadline for nominations is Thursday 16th April and it is hoped that this year's event will once again attract worthy volunteers of all ages from all walks of life.
Individuals or groups (where appropriate) can be nominated for an award. The event, sponsored by Campaign Newspapers, is designed to reflect the vital and diverse role volunteers play in supporting and contributing to the well being of the community.
The awards ceremony will take place on Wednesday 10th June 2009 at Blackwood Miner's Institute.
