White Rose author visit

    17 March 2008

World famous author Catrin Collier has visited readers in New Tredegar.

White Rose Information and Resource Centre arranged for Catrin Collier to come and talk about her new exiting read 'One Last Summer' and answer questions about her many novels, which have proved most popular amongst local readers.

Local resident Jenny Arthur said, "It is fantastic to have someone as well renowned as Catrin here. I have read almost all of her novels, and listening to her inspiration for them and the thoughts behind the plot was fascinating."

This was the first author visit for White Rose since the building was opened in 2004. The day was a great success attracting over 20 reading enthusiasts. Due to the positive response to the event, the library staff at Caerphilly County Borough Council are now busy co-ordinating more visits from authors to White Rose and other libraries across the county borough.
