>Next week, staff from Caerphilly county borough council will be asking residents to think about food waste and encouraging everyone to recycle their leftovers.
Recycle Week 2011 takes place between Monday 20th and Friday 24th June. Events and activities are taking place across the UK to raise awareness and get more people to lead a greener lifestyle.
A special CCBC exhibition will visit Newbridge and Caerphilly town centres where council staff will be giving out 'bags for life' and answering any queries regarding local recycling services.
Monday 20th 10am - 12noon, Newbridge Co-op Store
Wednesday 22nd 10am - 12noon Caerphilly Bandstand (Castle Court Shopping Centre)
Caerphilly offers residents a range of recycling services and the council is leading the way in Wales with its participation rates.
As well as offering a weekly kerbside recycling service, the authority also provides a weekly food waste collection where leftover food is picked up and sent off to be composted.
