June 'Stute Comedy Night line up announced!

    Stute Comedy Nights

It's been a full house at every 'Stute Comedy Night this season, and the line up has now been announced for the June instalment of laughs and entertainment!

Friday 10th June at 8pm will see three top comedians from the UK comedy circuit head to Blackwood, so why not grab some friends and head along to the funniest show in town!

Opening the show is Rob Deering, who since exploding onto the comedy scene in 2000, has established himself as a firm favourite on the UK comedy circuit, having played at all the major comedy clubs nationwide.

With his easy charm, cheesy singing voice, razor-sharp wit and clownish physicality, Rob effortlessly works his audience, lambasting pop culture, promoting apple-based alcoholic beverages and playing widdly-widdly rock guitar, all with his inimitable egotism.

    "…Truly wonderful stand-up…" Sunday Times.

Closing the show is the hilarious Mike Bubbins. Since first performing stand-up in 2008, Mike hasn't wasted any time climbing the comedy ladder.

He has supported Rhod Gilbert on his sold-out national tour, written and performed his own debut show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, been a regular guest comedian on BBC Radio Wales, and regularly performs, and headlines, at some of the best comedy clubs and theatres across the UK.

Mike's comedy style could maybe be described as a mix of observation and exasperation. Although really funny would be more accurate.

"…Hilariously gifted. Truly funny…" Rhod Gilbert.

Compere for the evening is Nick Page, whose material is a surprising mixture of cynical observation and storytelling, drawing on his useless degree and inability to do a proper job.

He is quite tall, some would say very tall, but that may be a hyperbole. His brother holds the record for throwing a Wellington boot (292 feet).

Tickets cost £7 in advance or £10 on the door.

The June 'Stute Comedy Night is the last in the series – watch out for their return in the autumn though!
