A new Scandinavian-style sauna has opened at Heolddu Leisure Centre in Bargoed.
The £25,000 sauna, located in the old bar area, is the first of its kind for the centre and is set to be a popular addition to Heolddu's wide range of health and fitness facilities.
Caerphilly County Borough Council Mayor, Cllr Allen Williams, visited the centre on Friday (9th May) to officially open the suite.
The state-of-the-art sauna will be open daily, to anyone over the age of 18, and the price per session is £3.00.
Sian Jones, Manager of Heolddu Leisure Centre, said, "The sauna suite is a boost to the excellent facilities which the centre provides to the residents of the county borough. It is unique in the way that it can be accessed straight off poolside and it will offer our customers a peaceful environment where they can relax after a swim in the pool."
