Caerphilly county borough council has launched an exciting new photography competition where local people are being encouraged to capture seasonal images from across the county borough.
Anyone with a camera can take part – young or old, professional or amateur. The council is compiling shots to feature in a special calendar of images with a picture being selected for each month of the year. At the end of the year the winner of best picture from three categories will win an iPad each (Under 16s, Over 16s, and Professional/Camera Club)
The council will put out a quarterly appeal for images, so we are now looking for pictures that represent JANUARY, FEBRUARY and MARCH.
Entrants must upload their seasonal shots to Caerphilly County Borough Council's Facebook page.
The competition is open to anyone who lives in the Caerphilly County Borough, and the aim is to create a collection of photos that can be put together to form a calendar showcasing the beauty of the area.
At the end of the year, three winners will be chosen for the following categories - Under 16s, Over 16s, and Professional/Camera Club.
All photos which are entered must be the original work of the entrant and must not already be entered for any other competition.
We are currently looking for photos to represent the first quarter of the year, so start uploading those snowy snaps from a few weeks ago and keep your fingers crossed for that fabulous prize!
