>Officers from Caerphilly County Borough Council got off to a flying start last week as they launched a new business support roadshow at Pantglas Industrial Estate in Caerphilly.
The council's Advisory Services Team were on hand to advise local businesses on how to apply for financial support and find out whether their business could be eligible for help.
Martyn Fear, of Pantglas-based Specialist Precast Products said, "The grant process is much easier than most businesses expect and the Advisory Services Team can help with all steps in the process. We have already taken on 3 people as a result of the financial assistance that we have received in the past and our business has been growing steadily over the past 18 months. We are now looking to expand further and purchase more capital equipment. It was so easy to meet the team here to discuss our needs and, once again, to guide me through the application process."
Cllr Ron Davies, Cabinet Member for Regeneration, " We are always looking at new ways of supporting our local business community and a roadshow is an excellent way for us to get out there and take our expertise to their doorstep. During the course of the roadshows, we were delighted to see that over 20 businesses are considering making capital investments in their business which can only lead to increased employment in the area."
The team will be on the road again later this year and could be visiting an industrial Estate near you. Businesses don't need to wait to find out whether their plans for capital investment are eligible for financial support, contact the Advisory Services Team now on 01443 866222 or email business@caerphilly.gov.uk
