Movie fans can head to the Winding House Museum in New Tredegar on Saturday 9th July at 2pm for the start of the exciting new FREE Film Club with Walt Disney's classic animation, "Pinnochio".

Every other Saturday throughout the summer we'll be showing other classic family films – for FREE!

To tie in with the new exhibition, The Pictures and "the 'stute" – Nights out in the Valleys, the museum will be showing a series of family films from the 1940s to the 1970s, throughout the summer holidays thanks to a grant awarded to the Winding House Friends and Volunteers from the Communities First Trust Fund.

The first film will be shown on Saturday 9th July at 2pm. Other films will be shown on 23rd July, 6th August and 20th August. The Film Club will continue until May 2012, with a different family film shown each month!

Films will include: "One of our Dinosaurs is Missing", "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang", "Swiss Family Robinson", "Candleshoe", Disney's animated "Robin Hood", "Treasure Island", "The Sword in the Stone" - and many more.

Episodes from classic cowboy and superhero matinee serials such "Hopalong Cassidy" and "King of the Rocket Men" will also feature - so why not come and experience "the Pictures" in days gone by – for FREE!

Booking is essential for this free, exciting event - for more information and to book your place, contact the Winding House on 01443 822 666.
