Heolddu Comprehensive School and Heolddu Leisure Centre have joined forces to give a two-day extravaganza of entertainment this week.

The Heolddu 'Get Active' Festival kicks off on the 22nd October when Heolddu students will perform a dazzling montage of musical hits from 'High School Musical' and 'We will Rock You'.

During the evening there will also be an exhibition of services from council and partner organisations.

Due to the high demand, tickets for concert on the 22nd have already sold out, however the school will run an additional concert performance on Wednesday evening 21st October. Tickets cost £2 and are available on a first come first served basis from the school.

On Friday 23rd October the fun continues at Heolddu Leisure Centre with a FREE fun day for the whole family. Activities include free sport and fitness sessions, a childcare careers roadshow, family history workshops, free fridge magnet making, fun and games by Talk Training, mini Olympics, canoeing, pool fun sessions, face painting, gym inductions, craft displays, prize draws and much more.

There will also be an exciting exhibition of council and partner services from Caerphilly Catering, GAVO, Libraries, Early Years, Community Education, Bridges Into Work, Genesis, Community Safety and Caerphilly Sport so come along and get involved.
