    Looking for something different to do in the school holidays?

    Why not venture to the Winding House in New Tredegar and become an Archaeological Detective?

    Join us for a series of fun, hands-on activities for all ages from Tuesday 28th - Friday 31st July, part of the Festival of British Archaeology.

    Find out more about your past with a different theme each day.

    Tuesday 28th - What is archaeology? Try your hand at excavation - scrape away the sand to reveal some mystery objects!

    Wednesday 29th - Make your own prehistoric clay pot and reconstruct the face of a Neanderthal man.

    Thursday 30th - Find out what life was like for Roman settlers and soldiers in the County Borough.

    Friday 31st - Have a go at archaeology Victorian-style and discover more about the historic winding house.

    The sessions are FREE and run from 10am- 5pm. There's no need to book – just drop in and join the fun!
