Ask the panel session "informative and worthwhile"

    21 July 2009

The Safer Caerphilly Community Safety Partnership would like to say thank you to everyone that attended the recent "Ask the Panel" event held at Penallta House, Caerphilly County Borough Council's headquarters.

Residents from across the Caerphilly county borough were invited to come along and put their community safety related questions to a panel of experts, comprised of representatives from each of the five statutory organisations that make up the partnership.

Community Safety Manager, Howard Rees said, "The feedback gained from residents that attended the 'Ask the Panel' event has been overwhelmingly positive, with comments being made to me and others that the session was informative and extremely worthwhile.

We felt that it was only right to give members of the community the opportunity to come along and put their community safety related questions to a panel of representatives from the partnership, and I would like to give my thanks on behalf of all at the Safer Caerphilly Community Safety Partnership to everyone that attended."

Over 30 local residents attended the session, where questions were put to the panel on subjects including visible local policing, alcohol control zones, anti-social behaviour and the use of Anti Social Behaviour Orders (ASBOs) in the Caerphilly county borough.
