With Caerphilly's annual Big Cheese Festival only four months away, its time to make this summer one to remember by booking your place to take part in one of the highlights of the weekend – the Great Cheese Race!
We are looking for teams full of energy and enthusiasm to sign up and join the opening celebrations of the weekend on the Friday evening (27th July).
Children and adults alike are encouraged to take part in the fun run around a special course which takes participants around the grounds of the magnificent castle, with fancy dress adding to the laughter and enjoyment.
Every year teams line up to take part in the race. Now it's your turn and all you have to do is create a team of 4 people to come along at 6.00pm. You can walk, jog or run - at the end of the day it's just for fun!
The race is a great way to raise sponsorship for your school, club, society or special cause. Last year we had a record number of entries for the event, and this year we are looking to break that record.
Get your team's space booked early and be in with a chance of winning some great prizes. All entrants will receive a certificate and medal, with overall winners for best fancy dress and each race.
This year the fancy dress theme is the Olympics, so why not dress up in the traditional costume of your favourite country, flag colours or sporting activity!
