>The numbers of people claiming Jobseekers Allowance in Caerphilly has fallen by nearly 4% between March - April 2012.
Numbers fell by 245, the biggest decrease in the region. Numbers claiming Incapacity Benefit and Employment Support Allowance also fell by over 100 people in the latter part of 2011.
Councillor Ken James, Cabinet Member for Regeneration, Planning and Sustainable Development welcomed the decrease, "These figures show that despite the country still being in recession, at Caerphilly we are taking positive steps to improve job prospects for our residents. We hope to increase these positive numbers by creating more apprenticeships and job opportunities as part of the regeneration of housing across the borough."
