Come and help out your local community - it won't take long and your photograph may be featured in the new photography exhibition at the visitor centre!
Project Details - Caerphilly County Borough Council is developing a new visitor experience at Parc Cwm Darran. As part of this we need some images for a frieze and for marketing materials. We would like the photos to be of a cross section of the local community enjoying activities in the park.
Appeal - The council is appealing to volunteers of all ages and backgrounds to come along for an hour or two to have their photo taken at Parc Cwm Darran on Thursday 9th June at 10.45 am for an 11.00am start. Volunteers can choose to do one of the following activities:
- Enjoying a walk
- Cycling and mountain biking
- Picnicking
- Bird-watching
- Dog-walking (frisbee)
- Family day out
- Sketching
- Writing
How do I get involved? - You need to register. Please call Ageliki Politis at Caerphilly County Borough Council on 01495 235219.
Props - The council will have some props on stand-by but if you are able to come with your own props (relevant to the activity you choose ie bike / dog / sketch pad) that would be great!
Photography - The photographs will be in a 'reportage' style ie very natural so you do not need any prior experience. On the day you will simply be asked to do whichever activity you have chosen in one area of the park. Photographers will then move around taking shots.
Timings - We appreciate that you don't have all day and will try and complete the shoot as quickly as possible!
Disclaimer - We will ask you to complete a form giving your permission to photograph you or your family or pet and to use the photos for the visitor centre or marketing materials in future. There is no guarantee you will be featured however.
Date, Time & Location - Meet at the Lakeside Coffee Shop at Parc Cwm Darran on Thursday 9th June at 10.45 am to start at 11.00am
Refreshments - The first 20 people to arrive will get a voucher for a free refreshment at the Lakeside Coffee Shop.
