>Festive fun made its way to Bargoed recently, courtesy of a traditional Christmas Market with fun for all the family and shopping opportunities galore!
More than 3,000 people flocked to Bargoed to sample the delights on offer, which included local craft, charity and seasonal food stalls, as well as the Open Air Ice Rink.
The event, together with the ice rink was sponsored by Bargoed Town Council.
Also on offer were various street entertainers as well as a children's activity marquee and even a Santa's Grotto.
A fantastic fireworks display provided the perfect finale to the day, which was also provided by Bargoed Town Council
Cllr Ron Davies, Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Planning said, "I am delighted that this festive programme of events have proven so popular once again this year. Events such as this, in addition to helping give traders a boost during this crucial trading period, really help put Caerphilly county borough on the map as a key tourist destination with something to offer all the family".
