>Caerphilly CBC has received the two tick symbol for showing a positive attitude to recruiting and employing people with disabilities.
By holding the symbol Caerphilly CBC has made five commitments regarding the recruiting and employing people with disabilities. These commitments relate to the recruitment, training, retention of people with disabilities, the, consultation with people with disabilities and general disability awareness.
Caerphilly CBC has held the symbol since 1997, and is audited every year to ensure that the commitments are still being met.. The two tick symbol is displayed on the Council's website and on application forms to inform applicants with disabilities that the Council is aware of its commitments to people with disabilities.
Gareth Hardacre, Head of Workforce and Organisation Development, said, "Being awarded the Two Ticks Positive about Disabled People symbol for another year shows our firm commitment to enabling everyone the best opportunities to gain employment and develop their skills and abilities at Caerphilly County Borough Council."
