>St Cenydd Leisure Centre is hoping to become the training home for the Welsh Junior Wheelchair Basketball team.
St Cenydd Leisure Centre already plays host to the Cardiff and Caerphilly Celts Junior Team, who train every Tuesday night at the centre. The Welsh Junior Basketball team will be trying out the facilities at St Cenydd on May 20th, after already holding a successful training day on April 14th.
Wheelchair Basketball is the largest and one of the leading Paralympic Sports. Although initially a rehabilitation and recreational activity for spinal cord injured patients, it quickly developed into a competitive sport.
The weekly Tuesday training sessions at St Cenydd Leisure Centre are open to anyone with a disability aged 4-18, you don't have to be a regular wheelchair user.
