21 May 2012>
Herman's Hermits, one of the most successful groups from the sixties, will be performing some of your favourite hits at Blackwood Miners' Institute on Saturday 26 May.
Formed in Manchester in 1964, the Herman's Hermits went on to chalk up over 23 top twenty single records, ten hit albums, three major movies and countless television shows and concert tours all over the world – up to date they have total record sales of over 75 million.
Since 1971 and the departure of Peter Noone to pursue a solo career, the group has never stopped. Original member, Barry (The Bean) Whitwam, has guided the group from strength to strength into one of the hardest working bands in the business – they still average more then 200 one night stands per year, packing in the audiences at every venue and delighting them with their solid musicianship, vocal ability and dynamic stage presence.
So dust off your sixties strides and skirts and join Herman's Hermits as they perform hits such as Mrs Brown You've Got A Lovely Daughter, Silhouettes, Dandy, Can't You Hear My Heart Beat, There's A Kind Of Hush, No Milk Today, Something Is Happening, Sunshine Girl, Henry V111, and many more too numerous to mention.
Herman's Hermits will be in concert at Blackwood Miners Institute on Saturday 26 May at 7.30pm
Tickets cost £17.50 (£16.50 concs) and are available from the box office on 01495 227206 or online at www.blackwoodminersinstitute.com.
