Tiger Tiger Burning Bright, Eating All The Cakes In Sight…

    14 May 2012

    Sophie and the Tiger

The hit West End show and 2012 Olivier Award Nominated 'The Tiger who came to Tea' will be at Blackwood Miners' Institute on Saturday 19 May.

The doorbell rings just as Sophie and her mummy are sitting down to tea. Who could it possibly be? What they certainly don't expect to see at the door is a big, stripy tiger!

Following on from a highly successful West End season in 2011, the tea-guzzling tiger is on the road in this delightful family show; packed with oodles of magic, sing-a-long songs and clumsy chaos! This is a stunning stage adaptation of this classic tale of teatime mayhem…expect to be surprised!

The show is based on the popular picture book that was written and illustrated by Judith Kerr.

It has been adapted for the stage with songs and lyrics by David Wood OBE, undisputedly the country's leading writer and director of plays and musicals for children. His many successes include Fantastic Mr Fox, The Gingerbread Man, BFG, The Witches, Meg and Mog, Spot and Babe the Sheep Pig.

The Tiger who came to Tea is at Blackwood Miners' Institute on Saturday 19th May at 11am & 2pm.

Tickets cost just £10.00 and are available now from the Box Office on 01495 227 206 or online at www.blackwoodminersinstitute.com
