Mayor extends a helping hand!

    Mayor of Caerphilly County Borough Council, Cllr Gaynor Oliver together with representatives from Helping Hands and Ty Hafan at the recent launch evening.

    Fundraising for this years Mayors chosen charities has got off to a flying start… with almost £4,000 raised at the charity launch event alone!

    This year, Cllr Gaynor Oliver has chosen to support two charitable causes during her time in office - Helping Hands and Ty Hafan. Local Rhymney based charity Helping Hands is a non profit organisation set up to support seriously ill residents of the Upper Rhymney Valley by providing a range of support services Ty Hafan offers comfort, care and support for life-limited children and young people, and is dedicated to improving the quality of life for the whole family.

    The charities were announced during a recent launch evening at Caerphilly County Borough Council's headquarters Penallta House, where guests raised an impressive £3,800.
