Blue Peter Big Olympic Tour sails into Caerphilly

    Blue Peter has announced Caerphilly will be first stop on its Big Olympic Tour, which will see the show broadcast a live programme from the town during the Taste of Caerphilly Weekend on 26th May, followed by a special free event for all the family.

    Following the live Saturday morning programme, presenters Helen and Barney will host a fun-packed event open to everyone. The Blue Peter Village will offer children the chance to try out a range of Olympic sports, investigate the science of sport, go back in time to discover the history of the Olympic Games, have a go at being a sports commentator, and lots more.

    The event will be at Owain Glyndwr Playing Fields, Crescent Road from 10am to 4pm, and is free to attend – no tickets are required. There is also an opportunity to be part of the audience for the live TV show. To apply for tickets visit the Blue Peter Website or call 0370 901 1227. Applications for tickets must be received by May 12th.

    The Taste of Caerphilly weekend, is a jam-packed, exciting and inspiring experience, featuring the Olympic Torch Relay, Caerphilly Food Festival, Sport Caerphilly Olympic Village, Caerphilly Flower Festival and now Blue Peter joining the residents of the borough in their moment to shine!
