Residents bored of running the rat race will find a more fun and exciting competition at the annual Big Cheese Race sponsored by Tesco on July 27th.
Teams full of energy and enthusiasm are invited to sign up and kick start the Big Cheese Celebrations on the Friday evening. All residents need is to create a team of 4 people to come along at 6.00pm. Teams can walk, jog or run - at the end of the day it's just for fun!
Children and adults alike are encouraged to take part in the fun run around a special course which takes participants around the grounds of the magnificent castle, with fancy dress adding to the laughter and enjoyment.
This popular event attracts dozens of teams each year and is a great way to raise sponsorship for your school, club, society or special cause. Last year saw a record number of entries for the event, and this year is sure to break that record.
All entrants will receive a certificate and medal, and there are great prizes to be won with overall winners for best fancy dress and each race! This year the fancy dress theme is the Olympics, residents are encouraged to dress in the traditional costume of their favourite country, flag colours or sporting activity!
