    The Manor at War

Join Llancaich Fawr for their most spectacular event on June 4th & 5th! The Manor House will be transformed from a 17th century Manor to a French Chateau in occupied Normandy in 1944.

In the surrounding fields, the preparations for D Day are gathering momentum…. Residents can explore the allied training camps, meet the Home Guard and follow the French Resistance as they attempt to catch the Germans unaware.

Action packed military scenarios are scheduled to take place throughout the day in the events arena! There will be live 1940's music, refreshments provided by Navy, Army and Air Force Institutes, 40's fashion and memorabilia on show and on sale.

Budding historians can join a 'War Walk' with enthusiasts to reveal the hidden history of The Manor, see Military vehicles, drill displays as well as US and British military encampments throughout the weekend.

In the evening of June 4th, experience the glamour of a 1940's tea dance, with Big Band sounds and 1940's singer, Heather Marie, whilst celebrating the Diamond Jubilee and witness the lighting of the Diamond Jubilee Beacon!

Please note – loud pyrotechnics will be used. Simulated small arms and artillery fire during the day.
