New worship space will be provided in a dedicated hall within the existing Sunday School on Level 1. It is proposed that the new Chapel can be approached from both the east and the west and will be independent of the operation of the library, with its own frontage on Hanbury Road.

The new dedicated space will be well proportioned and framed by the existing cast iron pillars of the current chapel. These will stretch to a height of 5 metres to the ceiling. Some of the characteristics of the existing Chapel will be resonated in this new location, with natural light filling the congregational space from the south.
The pulpit will be carefully removed from its existing position, refurbished and installed into its new position. The renovated cast iron pillars will assist in creating a focal point for this new location and a new baptismal pool will be placed in front of the pulpit.
The organ and the accompanying timber panelling will remain in-situ on the ground floor (Level 3). They will form a dramatic focal point to the new library and will be an important reminder of the previous use of the new library.

The existing timber, folding screen in the Sunday School will be retained and secured. This fine screen will separate the new reference library from the Chapel. On the other side, an out-of-library hours café will provide pre- and post-worship space for the congregation to meet in and potentially refreshments could be served following the Sunday morning service. A large window between the café and worship space will allow magnificent views to the east.
