Hanbury Cinema site

An investment opportunity has arisen for a prime site adjacent to the current bus station on Hanbury Square.  On completion of the new retail plateau and development, this site will occupy an important position on Hanbury Square.  It will be near to the pedestrian link from the high street to the new retail development plateau.  Hanbury Square is also set to benefit from imaginative public realm improvements as part of the overall regeneration scheme. 

Detailed Planning Consent has been granted for the redevelopment of the former Hanbury Cinema site into an elegant office building.  The proposed premises will comprise a total floor area of approximately 19,505 sq. ft. (1,812 sq. m.) on 4 storeys and will necessitate the demolition of the former Hanbury Cinema. 

The intention is to create a landmark building with a modern façade close to the entrance to Bargoed’s retail area.  The proposals comprise a quality mixed office development over 4 open plan floors.  Designs are for a central core and atrium space.
